ABOUT US
Kingsbake is one of the UK’s few independent bar bakeries producing a wide selection of own brand, private label flapjacks, oat bars and cereal bars to our wide range of customers across the UK and around the world.
Our parent company First Quality Foods first introduced our flagship range of flapjacks - the Ma Baker ‘Giant Bar’ in 1992. We have since sold more than 350 million bars – each lovingly made – and continue to produce our unique bars using the same special process to this day. We guess it's what makes our bars so loved in over 18 countries around the world.
We first opened our doors to other brand owners in 2005 as more and more companies were entering the dynamic bar market. Recognising the potential to offer a full-service bar bakery we designed our production to meet our growing customers’ needs.
We start off with product development followed by small scale trials in our pilot plant. Once your products are approved we follow onto full scale production. We have two dedicated batch-production lines which allow us to be flexible and efficient. Our modern bakery equipment is backed by skilled personnel who turn your product idea into reality.

In 1992, Kingsbake's founder, Sam, begins baking and selling his Giant Bar flapjacks around London. They quickly become a national success with the bars being sold all over the country.
As sales for Giant Bars grew, Sam saw that it was time to open up his own production facility and bake the bars in-house. With our newly built bakery in Bristol, UK, Kingsbake began offering a bespoke, premium and comprehensive private label service.
With significant growth in both Giant Bar and private label bar production, we set about moving to a larger facility in Bristol. Here, with our specialised production team and equipment, we began baking more bars than ever before.
Today, Kingsbake is a highly effective, efficient and specialised flapjack production service baking millions of bars every month. We've sold over 350 million bars since 1992 and are planning on increasing capacity further in 2026.

WE KNOW OUR OATS.
From our modern bakery in Bristol we can produce around 30m bars a year, packed to a high standard under FSSC22000 quality certification (BRC equivalent) so we can meet our customers’ quality demands.
